Katrin Wundsam makes debut as “Rheingold” Fricka in Dresden

Katrin Wundsam will sing her first Fricka in Wagner's Das Rheingold. On June 14, 2023 she will make her role debut at the Dresdner Musikfest. Kent Nagano will lead the Dresden Festival Orchestra and Concerto Köln using period instruments for this one-off concert performance at the Dresden Kulturpalast. Garderobiere & Gymnasiast in new staging of “Lulu” in Vienna

Katrin Wundsam sings her first Garderobiere and Gymnasiast in a stellar cast new production of Berg's Lulu at the Wiener Festwochen. The new staging by Marlene Monteiro Freitas is led by Maxime Pascal, while Vera-Lotte Boecker, Bo Skovhus, Edgaras Montvidas, Cameron Becker, Anne-Sofie von Otter, Kurt Rydl, Martin Summer, Paul Kaufmann, Andreas Jankowitsch and Franz Tscherne appear in the other roles. Mozart Requiem with Adam Fischer in Dusseldorf

On May 7, Katrin Wundsam is the mezzo-soprano soloist in Mozart's Requiem d-Moll KV 626 with the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker led by Adam Fischer at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf. The other soloists are Hannah Morrison, Gyula Rab and Miklós Sebestyén, the choir is the Chor des Städtischen Musikvereins zu Düsseldorf. “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” at Tokyo Spring Festival

Katrin Wundsam is set to sing her first Magdalene in Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. The high profile concert performances at the Tokyo Spring Festival take place on April 6 and 9 and will be conducted by Marek Janowski. Ježibaba & Foreign Princess in “Rusalka” in Wiesbaden

On January 21, 2023, Katrin Wundsam is taking on the unusal task of performing both Ježibaba and The Foreign Princess in Rusalka in a new production at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden. The staging is by Daniela Kerck and Olesya Golovneva, who also takes over the title role. Philipp Pointner conducts the nine performances running through March 25. [Photo: Monika&Karl Forster]

Christmas Concert with Munich Symphony

On December 4, 2022, Katrin Wundsam takes part in a Christmas concert entitled Eine musikalische Schlittenfahrt with the Munich Symphony Orchestra led by Enrico Delamboye. The concert at the Munich Isar Philharmonie features, amongst others, Katrin Wundsam singing Franck's Panis Angelicus and excerpts from Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel as Hänsel with Sophia Brommer as Gretel. https://www.muenchner-symphoniker.de/en/node/1096
